PRINT 100% COTTON T-SHIRTS WITH CHROMA BLAST

    ChromaBlast is an excellent and affordable way to create vibrant long lasting digital prints on 100% cotton fabric. The ChromaBlast system involves a special ink and paper combination that chemically bonds with cotton.

    The process requires a dedicated Epson printer
    (Epson Workforce 30, R1900 or 4880) that is outfitted with special ChromaBlast inks and paper. After printing a ChromaBlast transfer with your Epson printer, the transfer is heated in a T-shirt press set for 350 degrees. After 1 minute the press is opened and the imprinting is done - beautiful vibrant images without any messy inks or time consuming set-ups!

Sublimation is the best method for imprinting 100% polyester, while ChromaBlast is the best for 100% cotton. With the new Epson R1800 Hybrid or the Epson 4880 Hybrid you can use both Sublimation and ChromaBlast inks. The Epson 4880 Hybrid Features:

What is the cost per transfer?
The cost per image ranges from around $1.20 - $2.75 for an 7.5" x 10" image. This estimated image cost includes the ChromaBlast paper and the ChromaBlast ink. The software print driver is included at no additional charge with the system

How does ChromaBlast compare to screen printing?
Plastisol, the key component of screen-printing, does not react with the fibers, but sticks on the surface of the garment, creating a heavy, non-breathable image, which can crack and peel. Traditional transfer paper utilizes a thermoplastic, which has a result similar to screen printing. The chemistry behind the ChromaBlast digital imaging system consists of active ingredients that react and cross-link to the garment fibers when heat is applied. Because the image and garment fibers bond, ChromaBlast has a softer hand and superior wash fastness.
