DESIGN: Using a graphics program like Corel Draw , Adobe Illustrator or Photo- shop, create your design. Placing a black outline around your design, will help when alligning the transfer to the metal.

PRINT: Print a sublimation transfer using an Epson Printer such as this Epson 4800 containing sublimation inks from Nova Chrome. Click here for sublimation printers and inks.

SECURE: Using a small piece of heat tape on each side, secure the transfer to the metal plate. Besure to remove the plastic protective film first.

PLACE IN HEAT PRESS: Sandwitch the metal plate and transfer between two teflon sheets. It is best to have the metal up and the transfer on the lower platen. Click here for a selection of heat presses.

CLOSE THE HEAT PRESS: With the press preheated to 390 degrees, close the press for 40 seconds using medium pressure. After 40 seconds, open the press and remove the transfer.

CONGRATULATIONS: Now that the plate is imprinted, attach it to an award plaque using double face tape or ATG tape, available from Nova Chrome. Congratulations - You're finished!
