Transfer costs vary between printers and the size and density of the graphic to be printed. Generally speaking, the choice of whether to use a cartridge system or bulk/pouch fed configuration will depend upon your useage of ink. If you consume two or more sets of cartridges per month it becomes cost effective to switch over to the bulk feed system as the transfers created using a bulk feed system are typically 1/2 - 1/3 the cost of the cartridge systems. The Ricoh printers GX7000/GX5050N/GXE3300N and the Epson 4880 printers are all cartridge printers. With the 4880, the most cost effective transfer is created with the "jumbo" cartridges which contain twice as much ink as the standard size cartridges.
